Every day we see multiple AI-related news stories booming up the Internet. AI tech is growing faster than any other technology in the past. In the development section, we see multiple IDEs in the market created as an alternative to the VS Code editor, and some of them are forked from VS Code itself.

Here comes another AI code editor in the software development field to simplify coding and boost our productivity. The editor is Windsurf, an AI-powered editor for both newbies and seasoned developers.

In this article i will share my knowledge and understanding of Windsurf IDE based on my working experience.

What is Windsurf?

Windsurf is an AI-integrated code editor developed by Codeium. This is also an another fork of a popular code editor VS Code with the enhanced coding experience.

Windsurf AI Editor comes with Cascade, a cutting-edge AI-assisted development framework that enables seamless collaboration between developers and AI models. This feature allows users to leverage multiple AI models, enhancing flexibility and efficiency in coding tasks.
